Deadbeat December

There's something about December that just sucks the writing energy out of me.

I think it's probably November's fault. You see, the end of November is always so chaotic with the projects and papers and applications and life that unpaid writing just gets shoved to the back burner. Take this week for instance: two tests, a paper, and two presentations.

I slept for twelve hours, then spent all of today in a vegetative state, playing Pokemon and watching videos on Youtube. I swear, it was like I could feel my brain softening and my muscles unraveling. Good. Freaking. Times.

I didn't really speak to anyone today. Sometime around seven-thirty I made salmon, ambrosia salad, and steamed squash for dinner. Then I murmured that I'd write something and went back to drooling on myself.

Tomorrow I am going to a movie theater in L.A. to watch all three of the Lord of the Rings movies. I am so excited. But it probably means that my zero word count December is going to continue for another day.

Unless I start writing now...
